Wisconsin Office Furniture Manufacturer Announces Shut Down

The Invincible Metal Furniture Company of Manitowoc, Wisconsin has announced that it will be closing down it’s operations effective May 12, 2008. The office furniture manufacturer employs 81 people.

Company officials say they are trying to sell the company. According to the Department of Workforce Development, if a buyer is found there is a good chance that the company’s employees will be able to keep their jobs.

Wisconsin state law requires companies to give an official notice to the state 60 days prior to any mass layoffs.
