Sealy Hits $2.6 Million Profit For Quarter

With help from an increase in domestic business, Sealy a major bedding manufacturer recorded a fourth quarter profit of $2.6 million. The profit is the result of a 1.9 percent increase in sales and an increase from $325.8 million from last year, to $332.1 million in sales for this years same quarter.
The company credits much of the profit margin to the domestic net sales, which excludes any third party sales from the companies components factories. While the unit volume was up 7.9 percent, the average selling price per unit decreased 0.6 percent.
