Furniture producer Tama specializes in furniture and art made from recycled thirty to one-hundred-fifty year old hardwoods.
Craig Scharlin, one of the owners of Tama, said that when they first obtained the old hardwoods they were very rough looking. The hardwoods are taken from old houses and sometimes have been left laying on the ground for long periods of time.
These old hardwoods can turn out to be very beautiful furniture. The recycling aspect helps to conserve on lumber.
