Promoting Business Through Snow?

Over 100 customers recently got their furniture purchases for free with a little help from mother nature! Simpson Furniture in Cedar Falls, Iowa just ran a “Let it Snow” event in which they promised customers who made purchases from December 26-31 their items would be free if it snowed at least two inches on Wednesday!

The furniture could be purchased at either the Simpson Furniture store or the companies sister store, Rooms 4 Less. The promotion proved to be a huge success for both the stores and the companies. And, the company received a lot of free advertising with their unique promotion catching the eye of reporters.

Cedar Falls received over 7 inches of snow making the lucky customers very happy. In May of last year the area had been hit with a tornado and then in June was devastated with flooding. Many of the Simpson customers were replacing items they’d lost to mother nature. Maybe mother nature decided she’d help them replace what she’d taken earlier!
