New Furniture Orders Have Fallen Only Slightly

According to a survey run by Smith Leonard Accountants & Consultants new furniture orders dropped almost 1/2% when comparing July of 2007 with July of 2006. This represents the lowest decline in new furniture orders since June, 2006.

Looking at the year to date statistics new furniture orders were down 4% from what the were during the same time period in 2006.

Analysts and furniture manufacturers and retailers are hoping that these numbers indicate that the decreases in new orders have bottomed out and will soon begin to rise.
