LSI Launching International Expansion

To counter a sluggish North American market, LSI Industries Inc. is launching an expansion drive internationally in the Middle East and Europe. The expansion is scheduled to begin early next year after giving the market 18 months to improve.

The platform for the international initiative is the largest chandelier in the world measuring 300 foot long. The LED project is already under construction in Qatar and is being installed in a Doha office building. The chandelier will be secured with 37 stainless steel cables and hang in the atrium.

The gigantic sculpture weighs 25 tons and has been called the Reflective Flow. It contains 83,000 diodes and was developed by LSI’s Saco Technologies, a subsidary that is based in Montreal. The company hopes that this will be the anchor for their global reputation.
