HNI Announces The Closing of Their Richmond Virginia Plant

HNI Corp, the world’s second biggest office furniture producer announced this weekend that they will be closing down their Richmond Virginia manufacturing facilities.

HNI Corp. plans to consolidate the facilities production with it’s other plants. The Richmond Virginia plant has 370 employees, a few of which will be transferred to other locations.

HNI Vice President Gary Carlson said that the plants operations will be closed down in phases until the facility is fully closed early in 2008.
