Herman Miller To Pay $750,000 in Antitrust Lawsuit

After nearly five years in court St. Louis based furniture manufacturer, Herman Miller, has entered into an agreement to pay a $750,000 settlement.
The lawsuit was in regards to Herman Miller’s pricing policies for the Aeron chair and was filed in 2003 by New York state’s Attorney General. According to the suit the furniture manufacturer violated antitrust laws by artificially inflating the retail prices of the chairs.
Michigan and Illinois later joined in on the lawsuit with New York. The money will be divided up among Michigan, Illinois and New York.
