Furniture Liquidators, an Independence, MO. store closed it’s doors leaving customers in the dark about what happened and whether they’ll get a refund. Customers reported that the Noland Road store was full of furniture last week. But, on Monday as customers arrived to pick up recent purchases, the building was empty.
One customer said that the sign was off when he arrived at the store and there was still furniture inside, but no one was there. When returning on Monday, all of the furniture had been removed. One customer had just paid $2,150 for a new bedroom suit and had drove to the store when it wasn’t delivered as promised.
The business is owned by Craig Price and Brandon Ballard. Price has already been in court many times through the years, mainly for unpaid bills, but also on criminal charges according to court records. The stores attorney reported that all of the customers had paid by credit card and that they could file a dispute with the credit card companies to get a refund.
