Furniture Buying Index Shows A One Point Drop From 2006

The Furniture Buying Index for October is currently holding at 75 points. Furniture manufacturers and retailers see this as good news in light of the recent negativity in the news in regards to a crisis in the housing market.

Britt Beemer, of America’s Research Group, says that since the October 2007 Furniture Buying Index only showed a decrease of one point from October of 2006 it can be taken as a positive indicator of consumer activities.
