Resort Interiors, a upscale furniture store that has been serving the Florida area for 14 years, has announced it will be closing it’s doors for good. The Emerald Coast Magazine, voted the store the “Best Interior Design Firm” in 2005 and the “Best Place To Shop For Furniture” for eight years in a row.
The six to eight week liquidation sale starting on Febuary 13, is being managed by Lynche Sales and is expected to generate around $7 million. The owner said that all of their vendors would be paid, which include Lexington Home Brands, Drexel Heritage, Sealy and Lane.
The company also owns, Resort Ready Rooms, a home furnishings store that they plan to keep open for business as usual. Like many other stores and businesses, Resort Interiors has cited the economic slump as the cause for closing.
