Down and feather bedding producer Downlite just announced plans to expand it’s West Coast production by opening a new plant in Phoenix, Arizona. The company based in Mason, Ohio said construction on the new facility will begin soon with an estimated completion date of November. Downlite is one of the leading suppliers of down filled comforters and pillows. But, it also produces lines of mattress pads, blankets and feather beds.

The company said it is pleased to be expanding its footprint in the United States. “Downlite is well aware of the issues that exist in manufacturing in the U.S.,” said James Lape, CEO of Downlite. “Our company has been fortunate to have pillow programs that have excelled at rate of sale, providing profit to our retail partners. We need to have additional production to service the growth in demand.”
