DMI Closing Indiana Plant

DMI Office Furniture, a division of parent company DMI Furniture Inc., has announced that it will be closing their plant in Huntingburg, Indiana around November 19. DMI president and CEO Donald Dreher, declined to say how many employees worked at the plant or why the company made the decision to close the plant.

Dreher did say, “The company does not expect any significant disruption in its ability to ship current product offerings”. DMI is a division of Flexsteel Industries Inc. in Dubuque, Iowa and makes wood and laminated office furniture. According to the Kentucky Economic Development Cabinet’s directory of manufacturer’s, as of September 2, DMI had 51 employees in Louisville.
