When you’re shopping for office chairs, you need to look for much more than just a stylish, trendy design. You need to look for an ergonomically designed chair that will not only keep you and your employees more comfortable, but that will actually boost productivity!
When shopping for any kind of furniture whether it’s for the office or home, the first thing that catches your attention is the design or color. But, no matter how nice a piece looks if it isn’t comfortable, it’s not going to meet up to your expectations.
When it comes to buying office chairs, productivity isn’t the first thing that comes to mind, but it probably should be. When you or an employee is more comfortable, you’ll naturally see an increase in the amount of work you get done and the quality of that work.
When you’re concentrating on a sore aching back and muscles, you’re not concentrating on the task at hand. Office chairs should be chosen on the ergonomic features. A good quality chair will be totally adjustable in height and tilt to cradle your body. And, the cushions should be designed with lumbar support for the ultimate in comfort.
Just because a chair is designed to be comfortable, doesn’t mean that it has to be an eyesore. The office chairs that Versa designs, makes and sells are all ergonomically designed for comfort, but are also beautiful enough to compliment any office. At VersaTable’s you can get the best of both worlds, beauty and comfort.

Today when you purchase a new computer desk, a keyboard tray is generally a standard feature. But, most older desks just weren’t designed with user comfort in mind. That doesn’t mean that you have to get rid of the desk to have newer, ergonomic features. All you have to do is add a keyboard tray.
If you’ve ever spent an extended period of time at a keyboard, then you know how much strain is put on the wrists and arms. All this repetitive strain, can quickly lead to tendinitis. Since keyboard trays have almost became a standard feature, there have been lot less problems with tendinitis.
Keyboard trays can be added to almost any type of desk. They allow you to slide the keyboard into a position that is comfortable for you and prevents excess strain on the wrists and arms. A keyboard tray keeps the keyboard at a lower height than the desk top and within easy reach.

Everyday more and more people are realizing the importance of ergonomically designed furniture and accessories for their office. Having furnishings that are designed to cradle your body, keep you sitting at the perfect height, tilt and position are of the utmost importance to employee health.
Experts even agree that good posture contributes to good overall health. Chairs should have good lower lumbar support and be adjustable to the perfect height for each individual user. Research has proven that from half up to 90 percent of the people that use computers on a regular basis, suffer from CVS, computer vision syndrome. The symptoms can occur with as little as two hours of computer use each day and most people aren’t even aware that they’re having any problems.
The list of symptoms can include dry eyes, blurry vision, headaches and watery eyes. Since these same symptoms occur when you’re tired, most people just assume that they just need to rest and don’t realize that it’s CVS.
One of the best ways to help prevent the problems associated with CVS is by using computer furniture and accessories that are ergonomically designed for the utmost in comfort. Having a monitor arm so that you can adjust not only the height, but the screen to reduce glare can relieve two of the symptoms.
Glare on the monitor from lighting and windows creates a lot of strain on the eyes. With a monitor arm, you can customize the position so that you won’t have to strain to see the screen and you won’t have to tilt your head. The perfect position for the monitor should be at a level where you don’t have to turn or tilt your head.
When ever you have to spend hours at the computer, take a lot of breaks. And, make sure that you have good lighting. You should also adjust the brightness level on your monitor so that it’s not so bright and glaring. If the symptoms keep persisting, you should make an appointment and see an optometrist.

Every year, more and more people are opting to work from home. It does offer many conveniences, but many people don’t treat a home office like they do an office at a work place. If you’re going to leave the day to day commute and work at home, it’s very important that you realize that no matter where you work, you need to have ergonomic furnishings.
While working from the kitchen table or other area of the home might be alright as a temporary arrangement, to be more productive, you need your own space. Investing in an ergonomic desk and chair is one of the best things that you can do for yourself and your body!
But, there are other things you can do to help make your entire home office more ergonomically comfortable. Avoid shelving that is too high, stretching and straining to reach books, folders or other items can promote fatigue, aches and pains.
Place your computer monitor on a platform, or better yet, if you have a flat panel monitor, purchase a monitor arm. With a monitor arm you can easily adjust the monitor to the perfect location and reduce the strain on your neck. It will also allow you to prevent eyestrain caused by glare from lighting or windows, by moving the monitor away from the light source.

For several years surveys were conducted to get an idea of what employees like or dislike about the work areas. For numerous years in a row, a larger workstation was in the top replies.
Providing your employees with desks that have ample space to perform their job activities can make their work much easier. Desk top space can be all used up with the monitor and keyboard leaving little room for files, paper documents and other items.
A large desk with lot’s of drawers for storage will also help you or your employees be more organized. Time spent searching for files, folders or other work related items can be spent actually getting work done.
And, as always, make sure that the desks you choose for your business are ergonomically designed to provide the utmost in comfort. Space, organization and comfort all equal up to better productivity!

Having an ergonomic office means much more than just having ergonomic office furniture and accessories. You have to know how to take advantage of the ergonomic design in order for it to benefit your body.
Having a monitor arm isn’t going to prevent shoulder, neck or eye strain if you don’t adjust it correctly. Your monitor should be at eye level and you should be looking straight in front of you to see it, not tilting, raising or lowering your head.
Your ergonomic chair should be adjusted so that your feet sit flat on the floor. You should be able to get three of your fingers between the back of your knees and the chair. And, you backrest should be comfortably pressing against the curves of your back.
Ergonomically designed furniture is designed to make your job more comfortable and protect you from injuries and pain. But, the furniture can’t do it all by itself. You’ve got to help the furniture help you by making the proper adjustments!

If you’re like most business owners, there just never seems to be enough space in your offices. And, there are even times that you need an empty room for presentations or special meetings. Wouldn’t it be nice if you can have rows of tables that you can use for work, but then put them away if you need the room cleared?
Well, with folding tables you can do just that! You can provide your employees with tables to perform their job duties and when you don’t need them put them away. Folding tables have tops that conveniently drop down and allow you to easily stack them together using a minimum amount of space.
You can align them against the wall or remove them from the room completely. It’s one of the ways that you can make your offices perform dual functions.

It’s a proven fact that as far as comfort goes, your office chair is one of the most important pieces of furniture that you can purchase. Standard chairs cause your back, shoulders and neck to ache and when you’re in pain you can’t fully concentrate on your work.
The importance of proper support when you have to sit at a desk for hours is invaluable. Your chair should have fully adjustable controls for both height and tilt positions. The cushions should contour to the shape of your body and cradle you in comfort.
Another important feature of an office chair is wheels! While it might not seem like must have feature, having wheels keeps you from having to scoot your chair into the right position with the desk.
If you don’t have an ergonomic chair , make sure the next chair you purchase is correctly designed. You’ll be amazed at the difference and you body will thank you!
