Art Van Furniture Will Open First Mall Store

Art Van Furniture will be opening its very first showroom inside a shopping mall in November. The retail chain has been in business for 50 years. It will be debuting its brand new 43,000 square foot store in the Great Lakes Crossing Mall in Auburn Hills, Michigan. The new location will make a total of 34 stores state wide. The new store will be adding almost 80 new jobs to the area.
The new store will feature furniture and will have an Art Van Pure Sleep aisle. It will also have electronics with Paul’s TV, a clearance center and a Scott Shuptrine Interiors design studio. Great Lakes Crossing has over 160 shops, entertainment revenues and restaurants. The mall is owned by Taubman Centers Inc..
“Everything you expect at an Art Van store will be at our new location, “said CEO Kim Yost. “Being inside one of the state’s busiest malls will expose Art Van Furniture to millions of shoppers and we expect to see many new faces.”
Over the past year, the company has opened two free standing bedding store and three new showrooms in Onaway, Petoskey and Grandville. They added Paul’s TV and Art’s Backyard and launched the Scott Shuptrine Interiors design studios.
