A diagnostic fusion cart is the perfect piece of equipment for any medical office, lab or operating room. They designed to securely hold a laptop in place, or a PC based computer while providing complete mobility and convenience.

Most examining rooms don’t provide enough space for a traditional desk and a fusion cart needs very little space. Fusion carts are great for emergency rooms where space is needed for quick access to patients and other emergency equipment. And, fusion carts can easily be rolled beside a patients bed to take the testing equipment to the patient instead of having to move the patient to the equipment!

A deluxe diagnostic fusion computer cart is one of the most versatile pieces of medical furniture that you can have. Fusion carts have not only tray and monitor mount adjustments, they can also be adjusted to the perfect height for each individual user.

For PC based computers, there’s a built in CPU holder that will keep the tower steady even during movement. And, if you need a printer platform, it can easily be attached to the bottom of the unit. A built in handle and easy rolling casters make it easy to maneuver it around corners, hospital beds or any other obstacles.

December 22nd, 2008 at 01:07am Under Furniture News

The third quarter earnings totals for Steelcase brought grim results. The famous office furniture manufacturer say an 11.4 per cent fall in sales in the United States alone. And, global sales fell off by 8.4 per cent.

The bottom line numbers put a little more perspective on the situation, just one year ago the company reported profits of just over $31 million and this years quarter saw a $400,000 profit! But, even amid the almost vanishing profits, Steelcase might have gotten a much needed break.

The company just got a federal contract that might help get their profit margin rising again. The contract provides for not only furnishings, but design, installation, and other service as well. The minimum value of the contract is $3 million, but it’s expected to top out much closer to $113 million!

Steelcase has been among one of the many furniture companies that have had to lay off employees. During the spring, 250 employees were laid off and 600 job cuts were added in November and it was announced that 300 more may be in danger of losing their jobs.
