Maximize Your Office Space

April 29th, 2008 at 09:53pm Under The Office

There are very few offices that are exactly alike, however one thing most offices share in common is a shortage of space. Very often it is not a matter of how much room you have, but how you “budget” it.

A well planned office will be more space efficient and organized. Unfortunately many offices aren’t planned, but simply grow as new furniture and accessories are needed. Take a look at your office to find ways to save on space and attain better organization.

There are many other ways to maximize the space you have available, but here are a few suggestions:

  • Replace one or more standard computer work stations with wall mounted stations.
  • Mobile computer carts are great for work stations that need to be moved around, they can also easily be stored when not in use.
  • Placing CPUs in under-the-desk CPU holders will free up a lot of desk space.

April 24th, 2008 at 08:46pm Under The Office

If you have never used a computer with the monitor mounted on a monitor arm you are missing out on comfort. When you first sit down at your desk and look at the monitor you will notice a big difference right away. Now you can tilt and swivel your monitor until it is at the perfect viewing angle and height for you.

This one addition to your computer desk or table will make you feel more relaxed and at ease. This will in turn reduce the amount of stress and pressure you feel and will alleviate aches and pains. A monitor arm will allow you to eliminate annoying screen glare with a simple adjustment.

Most offices do not have individual offices for all their employees. While some do have private, or semi-private offices, most office workers do their tasks in an open environment.

If the front of your desks are open you should consider adding modesty panels. A modesty panel is easy to attach to a desk or table and will give the user a sense of privacy. Desks with modesty panels also make an office look more neat and organized.

Wire And Cable Management

April 20th, 2008 at 10:01pm Under The Office

Recently I wrote about how an enclosed CPU holder can free up more desk space and make your desk look more organized. Another thing you can do to make your desk look neater is to install a wire and cable management kit.

A wire and cable management kit will protect your wires and cables by routing them together and keeping them out of the way. Not only will this make your desk and office look neater, it will also protect your wires and cables from being pulled, walked on, or tangled.

Versa Tables offers complete wire and cable management kits. Tame those unruly wires and cables.

Add A CPU Holder To Your Desk

April 19th, 2008 at 09:05pm Under The Office

A computer case can be a problem when it comes to space. Regardless of whether you sit it on the desktop or on the floor below it always seems to get in the way.

The solution is to add an enclosed CPU holder to your desk. The CPU holder will give your CPU a secure place, so it not only gets the CPU out of your way it serves to protect it from damage. There is also much less risk that cable or cords will be pulled and unplugged.

CPU holders are a great accessory to upgrade your office furniture. Your office will look more neat and organized and your CPU will be protected.
